  I feel like a drunk using the wacom tablet. So I havnt really used one in over a year.

  how come when i use the pen or brush tool in illy and i draw over a path that i just created, the lines either intersect, combine or turn into a new line. can i turn this function so it behaves like a true pencil?

  did that make sense?

  i wish i knew the answer to that. i usually command-click between every line to deselect the last one so it doesn't do that :(

  whats the best tablet to get? i wouldnt use it all the time - just to get into some freehand stuff more... links?

    4x6 = way too small. think of your entire monitor fit into the size of the tablet– acescence4/5

  To epete22...

  Double click to paintbrush or pencil tool in the palette. In the pop up dialogue you can set whether you want the last line you drew selected etc. Play with the settings til you're happy.
