  Here's a new painting I did for a silent auction fundraiser here in Pittsburgh.

  nice, I like the subject / dia de los muertos style
  Did a similar skull once for a card for my nephew who went to study in Mexico..

  Nice work mangosnot. I like the color choices you ended up making in the finished piece but I was almost expecting you to paint the background, or at least give it a bit of tone so it's not so flat looking. Super sharp though.

  Blaw, the fundraiser was for this non-profit in PGH called The Sproutfund. The event was their annual fundraiser for their own work. They distribute grants to people want to start up businesses in at-risk communities, art mural projects all around the city (and outside as well). They also fund any events (art, music related, etc.) that will beneift Pittsburgh as a whole, benifit younger population to help keep them in the city too. We submitted a proposal to do a toy show in the next year sometime too.

  Now that I think about it per suggestions, the BG coud have used something more to break up the flat brown maybe? I usually leave the background flat in most of my work though. I'll try it out.
