    1) Canada
    2) Awesome, tolerance, peace, quiet
    3) Weak judicial system
    4) I like them!!
    5) Pretty tolerant. I believe we would need more integration resources though. Especially for amerindians. Some of the tribes haven't been integrated into our society very well. Lots of poverty. Or they come to the city and can't find jobs because there's no support system.

    • Switzerland

    2) What are the pros to your country?
    • Direct Democracy
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dir…
    • Social Security
    • Nature

    3) What are the cons to your country?
    • People are Stubborn
    • People are afraid from Things that are New

    4) What is your honest feeling about America?
    • A country with so much power and so much negative influence on the whole world

    5) How is racism handled in your country?
It's getting worse, but it's not legal.

    1) Canada

    2) Politics = more liberal, tighter gun laws, greenery, nice and attractive people, other countries love us, free health care; paparazzi = not as bad, so more celebrities come here to hang out; multicultural (you don't even have to speak English in some areas); real estate is cheaper than some other places; extreme weather; cheaper college education; French language (except when you need it for employment); cleaner environment, higher standard of living, lower crime rates (and less chance of being attacked by other countries), less traffic, more than 2 political parties, less homophobia (less intolerance in general), more active with peace-related actions in Afghanistan; the country is still young and has time to grow, film ratings are more relaxed; legal age to drink is lower; hockey.

    3) Not enough funding for certain things, like athletics; liberal justice system means that more criminals get off easy; not as many bands play here; wait lists and other issues with our health care, such as higher tax rate; extreme weather; not as active in politics; not taken seriously by other countries; age of consent is quite low in some provinces; lack of many major cities, but every year cities are growing (like Ottawa).

    4) I like a lot of the people, but ignorance seems to be prevalent in certain parts, just like in other countries. As a whole, because it's a superpower (and probably the most powerful), it has more responsibility and expectations to live up to, which it has not done, politically speaking.

    5) It's not really handled. However, I don't completely agree with saying that that we just hide it.

    • I'M SOLD!
I actually have 4 cousins (3 nationals, 1 brit) and a very cool uncle that are in your fine country.

    1) United States

    2) Astonishing variety of landscape, climate, and scenery. Astonishing military and economic power. Dominates the world in popular culture.

    3) Shamefully dreary and cheap architecture and building styles make much of the country look like soon-to-fall-over garbage. Shameful treatment of poor people. Shameful health care system built around making wealthy doctors rather than healthy patients. Shameful racist history. Shameful current administration has made country a laughingstock of ignorance, deception, and vapidity.

    4) See above.

    5) Next President might be African-American. Astonishing.

    - Canada
    - The Beer Store, pretty chill about smoking herb, Whistler.
    - Noisy neighbors to the south, Prairies, Shitty television
    - Good place to go buy cheap weak beer.
    - Racism is stuffed deep down into the depths of our souls and bottled up tight, NEVER to be released. Eventually it will work it's way out of our society that way.

    1) Ireland

    2) Mild Winters. Amazing landscapes. Good butter. Cheerful easy going people with subversive sense of humour. I felt proud to live here when Ireland rejected the Lisbon Treaty, even if I couldn't vote.
Good 'ol capitalism which I understand by: weak unions, lots of jobs because it's relatively easy to hire and fire people, low social and corporate taxes, easy to start a business. All of this produces growth and general prosperity. Thanks to that, bitches like Ryanair can exist and provide jobs and amazingly cheap airfares across Europe, while nobody is forced to work for them. Whoever complained at Ryanair, will miss its services when it's gone.

    3) Mild Summers with cold sea water all around the island. Rain. High alcohol taxation and governed pub closing times. Architecture. Bad housing standards. Bad quality of medical services and I mean privately paid ones, not only tax-supported care. Fly me to the continent if anything happens to me.
Aggressive teenagers. Brats just like those in the UK, who laugh in policemen's faces because of naive lenient law.
Vinegar in chips (fries). You get an instant feeling there must be something terribly wrong with a country of people who spoil their chips with this.

    4) Great country full of good-spirited people. Hyped as being land of the free while being scarily less and less of it.

    5) I'm still amazed by Irish openness and courtesy. I'm an expat living here and never in the last 3 years was I even given a contemptious look that would have racial undertones (I only got regular contemptious looks). But I'm white, from a 'catholic country' that produced a pope whose portrait hung in every home 20 years ago here. It might've been different if I were or looked as if I were from someplace else.

"I felt proud to live here when Ireland rejected the Lisbon Treaty, even if I couldn't vote. "

Wasn't one of the foundations of Lisbon about extending the ease that has allowed you to live and work in Ireland to new member states?

    • No. Free people movement was practiced before. Interestingly, Ireland and UK were the only 2 countries that let Eastern EU inrafalski
    • right away, some EU architect countries still don't, namely France & Germany. Also, it doesn't take EU to let ppl in.rafalski
    • I'm not anti-EU, but I am anti superstate EU & nanny EU. All Lisbon was about was giving up power to 4 biggest countries.rafalski
    • hmmm. i see lisbon slightly differently - it impacts my work. Anyway, maybe i'll see you in Dublin sometime soon...lowimpakt

    1) USA

    2) Pros: Football (Not that sissy footsy game, soccer....juuust playing). The 'Baconator'.

    3) Cons: Everyone fucking hates us because we're complete assholes but admit to it. Weed is fucking illegal, can you believe that shit? The 'Baconator'. And we have MC Hammer and that frenchy Jean Claude Van Damme. He kicks serious ass and can dance his ass off.

    4) America? Wouldn't want to live anywhere else...with the exception of Canada, London, and Australia. Just about everywhere else speaks another language which just sounds like total nonsense to me.

    5) How is racism handled in the USA? We're probably going to have a black president. I think we're beyond that. We have new prejudices and issues now, like gay marriage and 'the Baconator'.

I'm surprised that people like dobs, who reside in the US, make their living in the US, utilize social benefits in the US, can openly attack their own nation with no remorse. Some people are just void of morality and patriotism (usually members of the democratic party).
