Hmmm, what would it be like to live there? Is it dead during the winter and then swarmed with tourists during the summer?

speaking of australians blagging there way into places.. its amusing, 2 of the clubs they get into are notoriously hard ..

is it 1994?

seems kind of predictably boring.

I love Ibiza... Have been for the last 4 years now... Although not going this year as hope to buy me an apartment there next year.... If you know where to go and know someone that lives there then it is one of the best places on earth - if not and you get stuck with all the 18-30's english chavs it would be a nightmare...

First time I went in 95 was good. Cafe del mar was quiet, v chilled, v relaxing, no hassle, Jose Padilla playing. Bar M, and Manumission at Ku Club were excellent with only 'local' djs playing and a few 80's bands. No Radio one etc etc. Went in 97 - shite. Chavs, wannabees, drugs etc etc. Never going back. Old town is still nice I believe.

I went to Ibza in 98 with 2 friends. Before heading there, we printed MTV press passes. T-Shirts, and had a Camcorder with MTV stickers along with a mic that had a MTV cube on it.
We convinced everyone we had won a commpetittion from Australia and had been chosen to goto Europes hotspots to film a MTV documentary on the bar/club scene.
We we're given carte blanche access to clubs, bars, cafes as they through it would be great free promotion of their venues.
I have most of the footage on an old VHSC tape and would love to convert it to DVD one day. It has some classic footage.
It was realty TV before reality TV was around. We couldn't believe they bought it. Over the week one promoter from Manumission (now Amnesia) questioned us, but he said he could afford not to have us film in his club. I have footage onstage surrounded by semi naken dancers, with trays of sambuca being brought out to the 3 of us.
Now that was fun...
- impressive blagging..
forbes - The more they believed us the more we believed us...By the end of the week, we acted like we owed the place.BannedKappa

Was there a few years ago. Had a blast!
New law - closes at 6? Sucks.

Yes everything closes at 6.
It really is one of the most disgusting pieces of shit on this earth, but I had a good time.

Druggy crowd is odd for Ibiza?
- DaveO0
All to do with music and licensing.
DC10 'Officially' closed because they only had a license for 68 people – the place used to be a truck stop cafe.
Unofficially it was because Circo Loco (main night there) drew an immensely druggy crowd....which is a bit odd for Ibiza.
Seems like it'd be way to expensive for me – 1 week in ibiza = 2 weeks in mexico or brazil? Tough choice!
