I love these guys. The guy's walking through a crowd of lefty protesters at the Democratic Convention with the storyline that "These folks just don't believe in freedom of speech because they won't talk to me..." and then it ends with the "Fuck Fox News" chant and he cuts quickly back to the studio...
The disconnnect from reality in the reporting is amazing. Of course, people protesting on the street obviously don't believe in freedom of speech. Sure. That's the story lede. Makes perfect sense. There it is. Peace is War. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Truth.

you are missing the best part though.. the part where the protesters kick them out!!

The Washington elites and the mass media perceive the various aspects of politics as activities for insiders. The rest of us are just supposed to watch some of it and maybe answer some polls every now and then so they can get their narratives about the country being on the "right track" or if we believe Obama is the antichrist or some shit.
As stupid as this Fox report is, is there a major media outlet that covers protests well - from either side of the political spectrum? I'd venture the answer is "no".

they ARE NOT REPORTERS.

"I'm confused about the protesting, isn't the DNC about what most of these people want? Or are they that "Xtreme"? "
"These people"? Which people are these? The huge umbrella parties in the US are big giant mushy middle parties - the edges of both parties are rarely represented by the mainstream of both sides...whether it's anti-immigrant protectionist gun nuts on the right or the vegan anarchist on the left...
- Their are degrees of "extreme"...and some "extremes on both sides have some very valid points.TheBlueOne

...so if I'm not pleasant ('treat her nice' in the above), then Ms Brown will exclude me ? (put me on ice).
Seems reasonable enough.
I am troubled though, as to why this would be her opening statement to me - she certainly hasnt done any research into my good character or repute, and it troubles that the most important aspect of her that she wishes to convey is that of non-tolerance, a swift justice, and no small degree of vanity.
If, Ms Brown you adjusted your aggressive approach to strangers, then maybe they just would 'treat you nice', as you so ungrammatically propose.

I am not convinced that CNN, MSNBC or BBC for that matter is any better to be quite honest. People just seem to select their news source based on a station that delivers what they want to hear.
- fox is more blatant, for sure.mrdobolina
- Really? The BBC has the same cred as Fox?Mimio

I watch Fox News just to see what harebrained shit I am going to have to counter when some of my friends go off the deep end and start talking politics with me.
