I was wanting to set up my portfolio site and have been trying to find a reliable but cheap web host. Just wondering if anyone could recommend one. I'm thinking maybe a couple hundred gigs. Was also wanting to setup wordpress too. Any help would really be appreciated, reading web host reviews was getting tiresome.

I use mediatemple(www.mediatemple.com) and have never had any issues, although I use them for little more than hosting my portfolio. Very reliable, good service, easy billing.

super cheap, super reliable..
http://qualityhostonline.com/media-temple charges a ridiculous sum of money.
- $15 for a new domain and like $3 per domain per month... not that bad. The startup is like $50-60 too... not that expensived_rek
- but Media temple don't charge anything per domain..ribit
- you get what you pay for. cheap hosts often have unreliable support and servers.urban10
- i have mediatemple's (dv) server and very reliable, highly configurable and not expensive.urban10

I've used Hosting Matters since 2003. A little more bandwidth and disk space for the money would be nice, but the service and reliability has been beyond reproach throughout all that time. http://hostmatters.com/
