  i'd like to know how this 300dpi thing started, why everyone thinks this. i remember being told 300dpi in school and on the net when i was first getting into digital imaging, i had to figure out myself that it wasn't nessary then bring it up with a printer one time who confirmed my suspicions that it wasn't nessesary.

  • res should be 2x line screen, so 300dpi if you're printing with 150lpi screen– acescence1/3

    umm yes a minimum 300dpi is necessary for offset, perhaps you were talking to a digital or sign printer?– horton3/3
