I just use Aperture. Plug my 40D in, import. Never use the Canon software.

iphoto is enough for me

yeah don't do it directly from your camera.
use a card reader, won't take as long and you can put them straight into a file. view them in bridge and right click to "open with" the program of your choice.

Thunderbolt USB card reader. really fast.

Agree with pnut. I spent about €7 on a multicard reader from 7dayshop.com and its fine, works with about 9 different card types.

light room. END OF.

I use a mutlicard reader, somebody bought it for me on ebay for something stupid, like £8. It's way quicker than downloading them off the camera.

I'm on a powerbook and trying to download images from my 350d, where the hell are the latest drivers? (that work and don't crash) and what software is everyone using to get them off the camera that doesn't take an hour per picture?
