You could do a Prague-Kraków trip, they're connected by a single train I think.
Have you been in a salt mine? I wasn't but would love to go there one day:

Agreed, if you're over n Dublin we can sort out a few scoops.
If you decide continental Europe, try Lisbon, amsterdam, prague or madrid. Enjoyed em all for different reasons and highly recommend them to visit.

berlin gets my vote too. cheap, not to busy, nice people.

If you're going to relax, the west coast of Ireland is beautiful and calming. If you want to have fun, Berlin can't be beaten. Another relaxing place I have visited is Sancerre – about 2 hours outside of Paris on the train. I stayed in a wonderful B&B there a few years ago (http://sancerrebb.com/). The wine and goat's cheese in the area are top notch, the town looks like a place that Amélie Poulain might go on holidays.

i backpacked through ireland a few years ago and i absolutely loved it! especially the west like Daithi mentioned. Places like Doolin are beautiful!
The nature is stunning, people are friendly, live music in the pubs, lot's of guinness, what more do you need :)

Fariska, can you advise on a Sicily trip itinerary? All I've got is tickets to Trapani for a week in September.
The official plan so far is to sunbathe, snorkel, sightsee and eat, but no arrangements were made yet. Any cities/villages/beaches/err.. volcanoes to recommend?
