i hate apples constant upgrades!!!
slows the machine down so much !!!!rawr!!!

You can upgrade easily from Tiger, but in this type of operations a full system backup is recommended.
Leopard is a huge step up just by the killer feature QuickLook is.
It makes up even for the ugly 3D dock.

the 3D dock disappeares when docked on either the left or right side of screen so that nothing to werry about...

I wouldn't do an upgrade, if it's anyhting like Windows an upgrade will leave you with a slow, buggy system. Plus I remember a bunch of others saying to never do an upgrade on OS. Back up your data with an imaging software, that way if you want to revert back it will be simple.

new os sucks if you aren't on an intel mac

I would recommend backing up, doiing a clean install, and then manually restoring. It sucks, but it's the best way to do it.
10.5 does indeed suck if not on an Intel machine. if you are on an Intel machine, it rocks. I love it.
