    Anybody sporting the 2.2GHz revision?
Is it as hot on the left side of its keyboard as the previous MBPs were?

yep, they all run pretty hot.
My 17" 2.33 idles around 60C and gets hotter when I'm really blasting away (all CS3 apps open simultaneously, etc).
Seems fine almost two years in.

Thanks guys. 17" were always hot I hear. I know the latest revision, ie. 2.4/2.5/2.6 Penryn processor are cooler. I wondered if the lower temperatures came with the Santa Rosa chipset, which was introduced in 2.2/2/4 models, gen 3 on the chart:

I just scrambled some eggs and pancakes on MacBook, pretty tasty breakfast to be honest.

    • Perhaps Apple should include a hotplate as an add-on?db_gd1/2
I just scrambled my balls with my MBPDomoPanda2/2
