the ucla work is interesting

This might seem like a nitpick, but I think the Click Here should have a hand cursor. Actually, just kill the popup. Everyone hates popups!
- emukid0
work is good but the pop up is no good. and the click to see more thing opens a new window/tab every time. by the time i was done looking through the portfolio there were 93409503495 tabs open.

Also if you are looking for a job....buy your own domain name!

Mmm, I think your work is much better than your site. Not feeling the design or functionality.

Excellent work.

It feel dated... pop and all.. + limited use of space...
like so... Buro Destruct circa 99'.
Only the web didn't respond so f'n fast back then.
+ their site is aways ahead of the curve.
http://www.burodestruct.net/bure…I guess retro is what your going for.
I agree, the work is way better then the site.Yeah it's really dated, it exactly the style of web I was doing in 99 for sure.

I really like your work. Some of the parts of the site are a little awkward, namely the pixelated nav text and some of the stretched shapes and typography.
I think the only glaring problem I can see is that you have a few pieces mixed in your portfolio that are a little weak (ie: the UCLA web banners, and a couple others). I know you (and most design students) want to show that you can do work that is used in the real world, but that is less important to an employer than knowing you have an eye for good design. Mixing in a few weak pieces with some strong ones makes an employer unsure that you know the difference, and that's more worrisome than thinking that you don't have a lot of experience. You are a student coming right out of school, you are obviously not going to have a lot of experience, it's not a problem.
It's better to have fewer strong pieces than a larger collection with some mediocre pieces in it.

the work is better executed than the site

Overall nice, please remove the (circa 2001 A.D.) pop-up windows and get rid of the type that is distorted/perspective on your page titles. Nice work.
