Will I be bored? I've got an interview for this job, but it's just css/xhtml/accessiblity coding..
Anyone here with experience?
FYI I'm going from being self-employed doing all aspects of client-relations, web design & development, corporate identity etc to a fulltime job.
Any thoughts on this kinda job appreciated.

I dont think boredom so much as a frustrated desire to beat your head into the wall. But I don't like coding. I know some front end devs that get really creative and can broaden their scope.

If you like doing that kind of work, then I don't think you'll be bored. But if you still want to be doing design work, then I think you'll be frustrated. I wouldn't do it if you just want to broaden your scope, unless you'll have the chance to be doing both development and design. Otherwise, just keep your own business and/or freelance.

Mojo,
I divide my time between managing projects/employees and doing front end dev work.
It's what you make of it. You can take a design/mock up/whatever and code it into html/css and call it done. Or you can work with it to create a functional, user friendly product. I find doing non-creative/design type of work for a living lets me spend all of my free time being creative and working on personal projects. I think if i designed all day for clients I'd be a little burned out and wouldn't have the creative energy to explore more personal and interesting projects. There is a lot more to front end development than just slicing and coding. It's what you make of it.
