I responded to your most recent post, but thought I might start a topic on the subject also. Why do you insist on posting only links to your blog? You are trying to harvest traffic by making me go to your blog in order to get to whatever you posted a link about. It is deceptive, and you do it all the time. Just link directly to whatever you want to share. The Public Choice is not an aggregator for your blog posts. Is it just me that finds this annoying?

HAZEL PARK, MI—In a statement made to reporters earlier this afternoon, local idiot Brandon Mylenek, 26, announced that at approximately 2:30 a.m. tonight, he plans to post an idiotic comment beneath a video on an Internet website.

i feel your pain. it would be perfectly fine if they announced their updates once a month or so. but there´s a bunch of design blogs who post daily updates with no informational value, besides the link that goes to the actual thing.

Public Choice? never heard of it.

readyok,
public choice is exactly that. i don't see how this is any different than artists promoting their own work in the choice section. i have had many of the artists i've posted about contact me and thank me for driving traffic their way. i am definitely doing it as a way of promoting my site and the work that inspires me daily to an audience i think might also enjoy it. sorry if this bothers you, it's really as simple as not clicking on anything i post if you're that annoyed.cheers

Actually, as long as it's in the Public Choice and not the Public Voice - I'm actually fine with it. We can still label it as spam if it is, but clutter that up - not here in my opinion.

handsome: if you wanted to promote artists, you could just link them directly. as soon as you do not, it´s not about them anymore. it´s about your site. which is commercial. and that´s fine, but you´re doing yourself a favor here, primarely. that´s fine too, but a weekly reminder that you updated is totally enough, twice daily is simply excessive.
think about what the pv would become if other design bloggers out there would post their every update like you do. it would be totally useless. that´s why it is not ok. thank you.

I know nothing of this.
