So, I just deleted and upload some photos on my website. Since I'm in a good mood, I'm willing to share this information, of course hoping for some constructive criticism.

I don't have a digital camera, everything was shot on film mostly with a mamiya 7 and a hasselblad

the prev/next buttons are underneath the numbers (they are rather small, you're not the first elpaso :)

i'd like to see some more portrait formatted images. many of the images could be made better with less distracting backgrounds possibly caused by a horizontal frame. i see you may want to show the environment in the shot too, but the images just feel too cluttered.

    I like this

    • i understand portrait may be difficult with medium format, so i hope you were able to find wisdom amongst my jibberish.jaylarson

I find the arm on the right could be cropped out, further showing the individual
isolated. it may create a more melancholic atmosphere for the image and the viewer.

i would just crop it a bit here to remove the shadow on the right. but not too much.

one could argue that there is too much dead space in some of your photos, but as a graphic designer, i appreciate the experimental feel.

i like the use of negative space in your images, so take my critiques with a grain or pinch of salt.

    • luv the second onejaylarson1/3
thanks, I rarely crop anything, somehow feels like cheating when shooting film :)bolus2/3
i know what you mean, but if it makes a stronger image, screw the dogme. :Pjaylarson3/3

    • good use of portrait ratio here. some background, but not too much. less would be better.jaylarson
