Angry Swede Wrestler throws Bronze medal
"Swedish wrestler Ara Abrahamian threw down his greco-roman bronze medal in protest on Thursday after his bid for Olympic gold was ended by a decision denounced by the Swedish coach as “politics.”
Abrahamian took the bronze from around his neck during the medal ceremony, stepped from the podium and dropped it in the middle of the wrestling mat then walked off.
“I don’t care about this medal. I wanted gold,” he said."

Anyone know why the two woman Georgian Beach volleyball team is made up of two Brazilian women?
- morilla0
Do countries recruit maybe?
- i_monk0
You can play in the country of your birth or the country of your citizenship, IIRC.
- refunktion0
countries give passports to athletes from other countries all the time.
- yes! did you guys see who was the American flag-bearier?OSFA
- Jaline0
What i_monk said. You can either play where you were born, or where you live now (with a citizenship, I believe).
I know Sherraine Schalm was born in Canada, but (probably due to a lack of funding) trained with the Hungarian team until they basically kicked her out. Then she went to the Canadian team and trained with regular coaches there (just got a national coach this year after a long time).
Also, during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Sarah Podorieszach, a Canadian-born, Italian luger resigned from the Canadian Luge team in September 2004 and began competing for the Italian National Luge team. This was due to Podorieszach's dual Canadian/Italian citizenship.
- Yes, but did they look good in bikinis?TheBlueOne
- Never seen them in bikinis, so I can't say.Jaline

I think female volleyball players need to play with thongs..
I would imagine is more comfortable, it follows their body shape and contours, more aerodynamic if you will..I also believe that this will result in a faster, more aggressive game, higher jumps and increased reflexes.
There I said it.
