Your "inspiration" section threw me off. I thought those were your designs because I thought I had clicked on "work". A bit misleading. Also, not sure about having the big black square as a bg when displaying the work? Stick with white?
- I'd put the work on white as well. that may bring the site together.doesnotexist

I don't like the way your logo is left-aligned to the edge of the paint spatter - i'd have the text aligned, then have the spatter bleed off screen.
i dislike the single pixel white lines you have in your tool forms.
i also dislike the aqua sheen you've elected to employ on your thumbnails - seems incoherent and faddish. also, those arrows are a bit weak.
in fact, you've got a lot of room there - why are those thumbnails so flat and inscrutable?
i'm not sure i care about your inspiration, or your philosophy.
the contact section is hurting my eyes.
i like the bits of the site where you've focused on 3 colours in a graphic environment - the photo'd bits, whilst they could provide a worthy counterbalance, don't - they're just a bit messy.
Still, i guess i quite like it overall - just needs a bit of tweaking.

Hmmm....sorry to say not too impressed. The site design is not very appealing with those ugly splotches everywhere and it seems to break from the grid with the layout.
When I click on the work I'm treated to ugly beveled thumbnails and the lightbox doesn't even work.

loose the "enter" page that doesnt make any sense. Also your site is very slow.

I think you could get away with 2 'pages' - the first, a bold graphic like you've got, with your basic bio, contact and details - the second, a full screen scrolling portfolio, with bold thumbnails linking to your in-screen pop ups.
imo, obviously.

I dig the way you expand the big black box and rotate the images.
Not sure what the point is, but it's cool

Get rid of the icky shine gradients, they greatly detract from the actual work.

it all needs to come together. looks a little disjointed from section to section.
also, if the navigation is as easy as you claim it to be, you shouldn't have to explain that to anyone.
all the vector drawings seem a bit off because the spacing on the details is less than 1px so sometimes they get lost from the screen not being able to render such a small line.

i'm no designer but the work seems OK.

Web browsers are never going to be set to that wide. I wouldn't go that wide.

get rid of the glossy button look bullshit
- doesnotexist0
your logos in the branding section are too big. lose the web 2.0 inspiration elements too.

Your work deserves better than all the gimmicky stuff you used on your site I'm afraid. Simplify

i bet you like to party.

thanks all. i've actually been debating the functionality/usability of the site. i'll definitely post the revamp when its up and going

...and i´d get rid of the inspiration section in its current incarnation. this would be something for your personal site (civilian), but doesn´t belong on your personal site (pro designer). your employers probably won´t hire you for your exceptional taste of music and literature. i always assume some kind of insecurity/ignorance, when someone unsolicitly publishes his favs of this and that. but that could just be me.
- No offense, buddy.gung_hoek
- none taken my friend. :)ls3designs
