I've started a new website project which I'm inviting submissions for and i thought i'd broadcast it here....
The site is called 10:15 Saturday night and it's at http://www.1015saturdaynight.com…
The basic idea is that each Saturday night at 10:15 you take a photo of what you are doing and upload it to the site and hopefully over time a picture emerges of what lots of different people around the world were doing at that one moment in time.
It's been going for 4 weeks now and it's got a bunch of submissions, but i'm looking to recruit more, so if you feel like getting involved or know anyone else who might be interested, feel free to pass it along.
You basically just have to set an alarm reminder on your phone to take the photo and maybe another one to remind you to upload it...
Anything goes really as long as it's documenting that moment in time.

yeah - it takes its name from that cure song... it seemed a good a time as any - and you can't go wrong with that cure album!
And yeah, there's already been a couple of photos of some bed time activity too!

it´s particularly good for not being commercial, or yet another linkdump. there´s way too few internet applications that really mean or create something. considering the possibilities of the medium.

I know you're here plugging your site, but I have a suggestion. You should make all the images roughly the same size (width or height) and make sure the "next" button isn't jumping all over the place.

thanks monospaced for the critique... i'll look into the next button thing (not much i can do about the image sizes). i'm building the site in drupal (and i'm kinda feeling around in the dark a bit) plus i only have access to a mac to test it on, so i'm trying my best.
But thanks everyone for your feedback - and yeah gung hoek - that's exactly the sort of thing i'm trying for - love the idea of that movie too and funnily enough didn't think of it when i did the site but now that you mention it you're spot on!!

yeah, i think the problem could be that they should never be to the right of the image - or at least they're not meant to be - they're actually always meant to just sit below.... there goes my saturday morning :)

I've always thought the Cure suck, but the project is a pretty interesting idea. Good luck!
