Turned on my iMac at home last night and neither the wireless keyboard or mouse would connect. Kind of a big problem as I have it password protected, no regular keyboard and therefore can't do anything... anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

I get this problem sometimes with my wireless keyboard and mouse, so what works for me is to press and hold down the connect button on the keyboard and mouse and the receiver. I know you need 3 hands to do this but you can hold the keyboard and mouse with one hand and the receiver with the other, hold all the buttons down for 10-15 seconds and hopefully you should be able to connect.
- I think the apple wireless stuff run bluetooth, and i dont see a receive button on my imac....omgitsacamera
- Damn must only be on PC's then. Anyways worth a try.PSYKHO
- Yeah, don't have that unfortunately.fodcj

Here is the fix for anyone else that come across this problem:

--------
By connecting my iMac in target mode (startup while pressing T on the wireless keyboard (yes, it DID register that, but only that)) and operating its HD from my Powerbook, I found the .plist file (Hard Drive>Library>Preferences>com.ap... and deleted it.Upon rebooting the iMac once more, it takes you through detecting BT interfaces again. All set now. Hope I don't have to do this regularly.
