  i would hope. the originals are cheesy as hell, but then again they were supposed to be.

  tried watching robocop 2 recently and i had to turn it off. haha it was awful. i remember loving it as a kid though.

  i love Darren Aronofsky's work, especially Pi, but this sounds like a really odd project for him to take on. making a blunder of the robocop is forgivable though, since it is pretty cheesy, while nolan definitley had alot more pressure with batman. should be worth watching though, considering his unique approach.

  Could be shit or could be really bizarre and fucked up. I will not get excited about it though, because these types of films have a way of being incredible let downs. Still, he could do a nolan on it alright...

  On a tangent, I love the original Robocop and I have fond memories of watching it as a kid, especially on ITV where they would replace all the swearing with nonsense words. My favourite bit was when Dick Jones and Bob Morten are taking about respect and Dick says 'One time, I even called the old man... asshole' except on ITV it became 'One time, I even called the old man... airhead'. Or 'Fuck you' became 'Forget you'.

  I am so pissed they made an Indiana Jones 4, Starwars 1,2,3 and T3. Just leave the classics alone!! Regarding RoboCop, the first one was really good (still have it on VHS!) RoboCop 2 was ok and RoboCop 3 was shit, I just hope they don't touch The Godfather...
