I have three words for you:
Friar Tuck Resort and Spa
OK, so that's five. But it's in the NY Catskill mountains. Here is the website:
Why do I recommend it? Because I've been there.
Is it any good? No.
In fact it is mind-bendingly terrible. The entire time you will feel as if you've wondered onto the set of the Shining. If you're lucky, the midget Elvis impersonator (ala the Hawaiian Years) is still holding court in "Ye Maid Marion Lounge" or whatever it was. Tarnished medieval gimmickry and furniture abound everywhere. Here are some awesome quotes from others that stayed there:
"The rooms/hotel leave much to be desired. We had hair in our sheets, cigarette butts in the outdoor pool, and smelly towels."
"Remember the Shining? That's the closest description I have for the nightmare stay we had for a wedding the weekend of June 27. When we checked in we thought it was kitschy that everything looked like 1973 (with no maintenance or upgrades since). Dark wood paneling, old carpets, mismatched bathroom tiles epoxied into random areas, e.g. the elevator, in haphazard ways. The sheets were threadbare, the carpets damp with who knows what and rough camping blankets."
"The basketball courts consisted of two portable basketball hoops in the parking lot! The paddle boats were in a small pond with much too much muck and seaweedy type growth."

So why the rec? Because to this day I remember that horrid weekend stay more vividly than anything else. It haunts me. It allows me to mock my wife for ever, ever booking it as a "romantic weekend getaway to the mountains"...seriously - go.
- Bonus bits: It's near the town of Woodstock so you can stock up on various and sundry hippie memoribilia...TheBlueOne
- ...and the you can go hiking in the woods and get chased by a bear. Just like we did.TheBlueOne
