I saw them in 1989 at UMass. They've always been exceptional in the mainstream hip-hop world, and remain so now more than ever, when 99% of mainstream hip-hop is complete crap. They also, at Prince Paul's suggestion, pioneered the skit thing in-between songs.
I'm waiting for that DJ album they were talking about doing before they left Tommy Boy.
