  anyone know how to create the effect in the background of the new apple icons? it almost looks like light rays are shinning though, I just cant seem to replicate it.

  • If I read Madirish's spec right, you shouldn't need to achieve this effect in vector - a series of bitmap graphics should suffice– detritus

  ok, I took 10 minutes out to have a go, here's my little effort, with more time it's not difficult to get, just have to get the burst effect right:
