i'm on a mac with firefox and would like to know if it's possible to run two two wmp streams at the same time?

each time i try to do it, the second stream replaces the first. there doesn't appear to be a sort of "open in new window" option. hoping for a miracle... thanks.

Can you save the stream? If so you can save them both and then play them.
    Just an idea..

nope, i wish.... trying to stream live Tour de France. I can get Italian or German Eurosport feeds but the same english audio feeds have no video (because of english licensing deals). Last year i was able to do double duty but the video feeds weren't also windows media player.

Is this the page you are on?
    http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/cy…

If not post the link and I will see if I can get it to work. I am on a PC but the theory should be the same.

i think i remember from last year that the us can't access the uk feed. i can't get the audio to work for whatever reason.

i'm pulling feeds from here: http://www.cyclingfans.com/

poor page design, but if you scroll down past the two or three photos on top there is a right column with video and audio feeds. The third down video feed is best. all the other audio feeds want to replace the same player.

Right not a simple way around it but, since I am on a PC I can install this: http://sdp.ppona.com/ and then save the .asx files and then open one with VLC and then the other one with mediaplayer. Do you have windows on your Mac? I got the direct link to the .asx files from going to the streaming page and then viewing the source.

There are some good stream stripper applications out there but since I am on PC I don't know what you have to do on a Mac. Let me know if you don't have windows on your Mac and I will find another way around it (hopefully)

sorry, no windows for me. i'm rocking a pro book without parallels or bootcamp. so i'm stuck with mac software solutions.

in theory, what are you doing? capturing the stream code so that vlc can pick it up? i can check VersionTracker for a mac stream ripper.

only thing i could find for mac (re wmp) was Audio Hijack which i know from experience records the open window. i know of no way to get it to generate its own audio or vid.

Well I open that page I want to get the stream from then before the page is done loading I press the stop button in FF then view the source, now I have the direct link to the asx file (http://www.channelsurfing.net/a……

Now if you can get the address for both streams then find some app that can save them both you are in business. God I miss working on a Mac...

don't know if works but can't you use vlc to stream one with the direct link and stream the other with quicktime ( wm components installed)?
