with indexr on the front page today I've got an oldie but a goodie.
it's a php file that indexes folders on your webhosting.

mine doesn't work on php5 on mt but check it out otherwise.

snif is ugly

know of any others out there?
snif actually works on mt but the image won't preview

just customize mod_autoindex in apache
- meffid0
that'll do it site wide and I don't want that

you mean you don't want to change the autoindex page site-wide, or you just want directory indexing enabled on specific directories?
- meffid0
just specific directories, also will autoindex thumbnail jpg's?
- acescence0
you can turn autoindex on/off for specific directories by adding -Indexes to http.conf and adding +Indexes to an .htaccess file in whatever dirs you want indexed.
as for thumbs, out of the box sadly it doesn't. that's kind of a tricky one though. any directory of modest size will cripple your server thumbnailing tons of images on the fly, so then you get into caching thumbs and making directories writable on your server. kind of sketchy stuff for random scripts downloaded from dubious sources
- yeah that's my beef with it this way, otherwise I hear ya, it is miles better.meffid
