i think I'm on 4.... are they the recordings or real people?

Well since telemarketing as a whole is an industry of trying to get as much money as you can for your prodcut as fast as you can and as cheap as you can, you can expect to get alot more automated calls to your phone. Why pay a person to do it from 8-5 when you can get a machine to do it 24 hours a day.

Are you on the Do Not Call list? If so, it's against the law for them to be calling you unsolicited. All you have to do is tell them that you're on the Do Not Call list and they'll usually hang up and not call again. But if they persist, there's a website where you can report them to the FCC

tell them you are about 3 sentences away from suicide if they cannot help you with issues the voice in your head are telling you immediately...

I used ot be all about hte Do Not call list, and telling them to take me off the list, etc. That's all degenerated now. My favorite thing is to just yell real loud.
Telemarkerter: "Good day sir, we blah blah.."
Me: "WHO??!!"
TM: "Um, this is..."
Me: "WHO??!!"
TM: "Um, I'm calling today to..."
Me: "DO YOU KNOW KEVIN??!!"
TM: "Uh, sorry sir I..."
Me: "DO YOU KNOW KEVIN??!!"

favorite telemarketer prank:
(it's impossible to do with a straight face)
when they call answer the phone and immediately ask them in a stern tone who they are and how they know said individual, when they explain that the are just a telemarketer, explain to them in grave terms that the person they are trying to reach is the victim of a violent homicide and that you need them to remain on the line so that an officer can get all of his/her info. when they object tell them that it is part of procedure and assure them that they are "not a suspect, " but question whether they have plans to leave the state anytime soon...fucking hilarious. see how long it takes them to hang up
- isn't there a recording of this somewhere? i recognize this.harlequino
- heard it somewhere, fucking nearly wet myself listening to it... i'd never be able to do it7point34

Telemarketing companies could care less if youre on the do not call list or not because they know very few people will actually go through the process of reporting them. On top of that, the do not call thing is a governmen/federal type of deal and the people hired to look into those complaints and violations have just a poor of a work ethic as the telemarketers do.
- All i can say is the process has seemed to work for me, without getting to the litigation portion of the programlocustsloth
