    How it perform with and without the RAM upgrade?

    Was thinking more smaller projects and rendering times compared to MBP.

    More ram more ghz better performance simple really. Get the best you can afford.

    I use Apple Motion on a 20" iMac with 2 GB of RAM.

    It's slow to say the least.

    what settings do you have motion set to?....

    I use it on a 2.16 ghz C2D and 1 gig of ram, would be fine for most things I think if I upped the ram a bit

    I use AE on a 2.16Ghz Imac with 3 gig of RAM (the max it will take) and it runs OK. It's not lightning quick but it is more than usable for most things. It does depend on what your working on though.

    • Same. I agree, its just fine especially if its SD. It out performs a similar MacBook for suresototallycarl
