  Last weekend I saw this amazing piece of cinematography, a jazz documentary on Chet Baker from 1988.
  I was lucky to see that in a cinema, don't think it's been released on dvd yet.

  When I was about 17, my cousin's husband, whom I had not yet met, gave me for Xmas (our first time meeting in person) a pristine 78 of Chet Baker singing "I Get Along Without You Very Well."
  Haven't thought of that in some time. Nice memory. :)
