While in Spain last week I had for lunch what was described as 'Cuban Rice'. The ingredients of which were rice sausage and egg. Now a sane person might belive this to the the fixin's for a rather simple, yet tasty paella type dish. I was not really prepared for what came out.
A mound of rice, covered in ketchup alongside a rather lonely and depressing hotdog with a fried egg. To say I was disappointed would be putting it mildly.
Anyway this may help.

http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=…- That's because Spain has nothing to do with Cuba most likely.********
- Aye, was wondering why it was on the menu, and I thought, 'when in rome... try something french.'ian
- On a second thought, that's because you hardly get any proper food in Spain, except in the NW.********
- Aye, no probs in the city. In Madrid, great fod, really excellent, but we were in a touristy part, so bizarre selectionian
- ... great food. No idea what fod is.ian
- 'when in rome... try something french.'. LOL. That applies. When in Spain, try Galician or Asturian.********
- Even had a hard time find tapas where we were. I would assume that like being unable to find potatoes in Ireland?ian
- Yes. That's weird. Where where you, anyway?********

- haha, I was in mojacar, down south. Nice place, pretty quiet with some odd food. Lovely steaks though.ian
