Can you just tell your boss its against your morals to work on it and you'll be happy to take up the slack on the other projects that are going on while people work on this one.
That is of course, i fits against your morals. you actually haven't said.

seriously, if it is your job - as in your employer tells you to do - do you rally have a choice?
If you're freelance, that's different. Don't do it if it bothers you that much.

- why wouldn't you quit your job if it goes against everything you believe in?a_iver
- maybe it is just this one project?flashbender

I was asked to work on Beverly Hills Chihuahua and I passed since it offended my high moral standards and was racist.

Ask your boss how he feels about the project (if he's approachable that way) and get his take on it. If he/she says that they are doing it with moral reservations, he may be open to letting you bow out of this project and help with/work on another. But if he says "Good money, why?", keep your head down while you subtly sabotage the project
- and lose your job - why not just quit?flashbender

people who do work they are morally opposed to because they are too spineless/afraid/greedy to stand up for what they believe DIE UNHAPPY.

do you actually have a problem consience-wise, or is this a theoretical question? if it makes you sick, donĀ“t do it.

Tell your boss your moral dilemmas on the project, if he has a problem with it, quit or go above him (if he's not the pres). I would think if your boss was understanding he could just throw someone else on the project instead of you.

if i found it objectionable, i'd suck it up and do it. if i found it morally reprehensible i'd talk to my boss about it and try to work out a way to swap projects with someone.
