I'm thinking of (finally) investing in a decent home theatre system. My living room is not huge, but decent sized. Not looking for something huge looking. But at the same time not too expensive. With an ipod dock/HDMI would be great. I guess my budget would be approx. $500. So bose would be out. Any recommendations? Thanks. And if anyone has pics of their set-up at home. with the make/model. Thx.

Sony Bravia DAV-HDX576WF 5.1 Channel Home Theater System... Just under $500, and you get wireless rear speakers, an iPod dock, and an additional wireless speaker for another room, or outside.. also 5 disc changer..
- wow. sounds good.saunakspace
- though is it true that the output quality is compromised in wireless technology since the speakers are wireless?saunakspace

klipsch speakers with a yamaha amplifier is a good way to go. By going with components you can upgrade and swap items out over time.

just bought this:
http://www.amazon.com/Onkyo-HT-S…Onkyo makes killer receivers. It comes with an iPod dock and a mic that calibrates the speakers. Also it has three HDMI 1.3 pass through ports, which is nice.
