not that great. too vague for a brewing giant.

Without that animation I am not sure I would know that was a glass of beer. Looks more like an eye.

Feels more sophisticated than I would expect from Miller beer
- epete220
thats horrible and the colors say i drink beer with my pinky hanging out

They should have just kept a logotype to keep it simple. It doesn't read "get drunk" enough to me.
- tank020
ow, thats very average.
looks like a logo for a POS salesfolder for beerbrands.

not feelin it. Doesn't say huge corporation to me.

wtf... way too corporate looking. not appetizing at all.

I agree, I am a fan of pentagram, but I don't like this logo. The fact that they had to use the animation makes me think that even THEY were not so sure about it. I would like to see packaging and other material, maybe it will work better that way...

fitting for sub-par beer

Reminds me of the EAT stuff http://graphicstatement.blogspot… < it's nice graphically, but the coldness of it doesn't make me hungry or thirsty.
- i think the EAT stuff are way better designed.akrokdesign

The logo is for corporate to corporate communication. I think it's wonderful and very well thought out. Because it's their corporate side of things and it doesn't show in retail, I think it represents their business side very well.
Way to go Pentagram!
The sensitivity to their type treatment is great too! Very subtle customization really goes a long way.

looks like an anus

according to the write up its not supposed to invoke thirst, it will be used mainly for business to business communication. the typical consumer won't see it.
- sputnik20
don't like it much

"The new MillerCoors symbol, based on a view of a glass of beer from above, is at once neutral enough to combine with the rich heritage of the existing brands, forward-looking, and unequivocally about beer."
neutral = boring and/or bland and/or so open that it loses meaning.
I agree with cadillac211, that looks more like an eye than a glass of beer

there is no way this is going on packaging. Altria doesn't put it's name on Marlboro cigarettes.

I'm all for subtle type treatment, but this is not up to Pentagram's standards. Say what you will, but some where along the line Pentagram gave up on this one...
- dirtydesign0
Comments aside.. I dig it.
It's corporate communication, not really meant for consumers.- exactly.mrdobolina
- even with that application, i find it anemicsputnik2
