I'm thinking of possible font alternatives but it's a great concept.

I love the concept. Bodoni works well here.
I do think it's too subtle to be read from any distance. Darken that blue and increase the contrast between sky and water. Also, the title feels rather high for my taste. I'd lower your horizon line. I'd also make the title several point sizes bigger.

  You should ignore gramme's comment. Bodoni is nice, but he's wrong about your design, which is great. I love the square proportion at the bottom.– monospaced4/4

to be honest, at first i didn't like it... thought it was overly simple.
but then i noticed the seagulls were mirrored as waves, and that did it for me. very subtle, very nice.

If they have money, the title could be a blind emboss, possibly registered to a spot varnish. That way you could make it bigger, yet still give it the hidden feel. You could also stack the type in a way that is reminiscent of a hilly island rising out of the ocean.

It's ok but I have a few suggestions for some teeny weeny changes.
It has too much empty space. Can you fill that with clip art of boats or something sea related, maybe a whale.
Also, I'm paying for full color printing so can you put more color in it.
How about a sunset with a rainbow?
Can you make those changes before lunch?
