  I went to the mainland. When you picked up a handful of sand and let the sand drain away you were left with a handful of cigarette butts. And that's not an exaggeration.

  crete, mykonos, corfu are all nice, but SUPER touristy. there are so many others which are more beautiful, relaxed and the selection of people you deal with is much better. but it depends on what you're looking for i guess
