    Wonderful photographs, but:

    About this project:
"My work with the British show Whippet - a dog bred to an ideal standard - focuses particularly on the evolution of the visual image of the Whippet, and the construction of human identity through the shaping of the figure of the dog."

Can some of you smart people explain this part to me:

"...construction of human identity through the shaping of the figure of the dog."

    thanks.

I think the statement just tries to establish the broad, abstract theme of her work. So i guess there´s really nothing to understand there, it´s not math. Just relations/reflections between man/fashion/pet as design object/etc. helpful?

    • not really. I read that as "I need some bullshit statement to justify taking pictures of dogs"flashbender1/3
Which is unnecessary. If you want to take pictures of dogs and make a story out of it, then just do thatflashbender2/3
well, you got that right. but the art people actually think that way. which is why everybody loathes them.schmutzi3/3
