So... I have a file that contains a lot of little pieces. I want to scale all of these pieces but I want all those pieces to keep their center points. Typically when you scale a group, they scale from one center point. Is there a way to scale so all the pieces scale from their individual center points?

hmm yea i always have that prob. Good Q.

object > transform > transform each
- 7point340
not to be an ass, but why would you need to do that?
- redant0
To resize a group of objects at the same time, go to Object > Transform > Transform Each or type Control+Shift+Alt+D in Windows or Command+Shift+Option+D in Mac.

7point34... I have a pattern I'm creating and I want to scale the objects so they stay in their positions but scale closer together. Make sense?
estetic... thanks, let me try that.

I've needed to know how to do that before. Finally gave up and did it all manually.

that's how I've been doing it... manually. Luckily... it was billable hours! ;)
Great to know, though. Thanks again for everyones input. I learned something new on QBN...
