I want to get a better mouse for my laptop, because I've just been using the one that came with my ASUS latop and its starting to give me the shit.. I'm looking at the Logitech MX, it seems pricey but is it justifiable enough to spend 50 odd quid on a mouse? Is there anything else that pretty good??

- x2 except mine has a light on the bottom where the logo is. I love microsoft micesection_014
- I use a similar one, but slightly more basic. Microsoft too. Good feel, god cicking, good scrolling and comfortable for a cheap price

I considered getting this one, but thought it too heavy'n'clunky when I tried it out.
As I've said in other What Mouse? threads, I'd recommend Razor brand mice - they're ugly as shit and far too l33t, but they're comfortable, high quality and work really well.

the LEDs look like they meter the level of awesome of the thread you are posting in.

Am I the only one that notices a minuscule delay when using wireless mice? Cord ftw, indeed.

^ hmmm thats something to consider

I used that model for a while. It's awesome, the only problem is they tend to break after a year or so. But in terms of design and whatnot, I like it the most of any mouse I've tried.

Anybody make any bourgie mice?

I bought that mouse...then returned it. Just didn't like how it scrolled and everything...felt like parts were loose. I did however, went out and bought my second and updated one of these>

Awesome working combo, bit on the pricey side tho.

A laptop is meant to be portable. with that MX you will need a separate carry case.
I would go for size and weight

Huebert - I have that mouse. It's great! Smooth as butter and the scroll wheel has two settings - free wheeling and standard. I never turn off the free wheeling setting. It might not work the greatest with a laptop, because it's wireless and you have that little antennae that sticks out of the USB port on your machine.

Ha... I have three of them. One for the machine at work, one for the machine at home and one for the laptop. The only (and this is slight) issue that I have had with them was one had the little rubber band on the wheel get a high spot in it, so it would stick when you rolled it. I took an x-acto and removed it, so now it works fine, but just has a little groove in the wheel where the rubber band used to be. They're great mice.
