command + h is supposed to hide box outlines in cs3. but i have to use crtl+cmd + h to get the job done now due to the defaut in osx to hide applications. cs2 would override this, which is strange. ... change keyboard shortcults in osx and indesign? there may be an answer therein.

Do not even get me started with CS3, and you do not want indesign to hide as it will not come back again, and you will loss all your work, I now, I been there this week.

roundabout... that is a known bug, i hate it, too.
i wouldn't recommend using the option-click outside the inD window, or you will end up not able to bring inD back to the front

I think this has more to do with 10.5, I installed CS2 and I am still getting the disappearing problem.

Somehow i've never been able to hide PS, AI or ID apps with a key command, both in CS2 & 3. It works manually, though.
