This sucks. I'm lost as to what to do. I didn't want to spend hours and hours figuring this out. I need to get this project done. Can anyone help or point me somewhere?

IE has a nasty little whitespace bug. There's some CSS workarounds, or remove all the white space between your list element tags.
e.g.:
<li>item</li><li>item</li> (no line breaks, tabs or spaces)
