So I'm getting this feeling that I should buy a bike.
I've been looking around some shops in Toronto and this one caught my eye, but at $700 its a little pricey.Anyone an avid bicyclist out there that could give me some pointers on what I should be looking for or out for?
This is the bike I am interested in:

- < that is why i bought a $15 10 speed at a local garage sale. it's equally shitty but i don't care if it gets bashed in.kona
- Don't pay much for than $1000 for something like this.brains
- dude, that seat alone is a lance armstrong special. i think it's like $550 just for that.kona
- That's true. Ok, no more than $1450, I think it's signed.brains

I'm far from being rich or well off, but $700 really isn't that much for a bike is it? I just spent $260 on a second set of wheels and street tires to swap out with my knobbies on my mountain bike. If you're looking to spend less Target or Wal Mart might be your answer... or Craigslist
- that's what I was thinking. I just hope I buy something decent regardless of the moneyshiimerik

i just purchased an IRO Cycle.
the prices are around $600 for the frame which may be higher than what you wanted but the frame are ultra lightweight [pickable over your head with just your pinky easy!!!] they have multiple styles and all are customizable to your needs.here is their site...

I recently bought a Trek Soho S, which for everyone I've talked with about it, praises quite highly, espcially considering its price point ($550).

also, whatever you do, make your bike looks way crappier then it is. Ive had too many bikes stolen in this fair city of toronto.
