Weird..I just came across one of my favorite early post-hardcore bands last night packing up my old CD's for a move, Quicksand. God, these guys still sound great and original:

The best part about this band is that they were started as a joke. Seriously they were, I grew up in the scene this came from, Orange County Straightedge. They were always making fun of the people that bought into their band, but alas apparently jokes make money.
