i wouldn't say it was 'shit', but yeah... it doesn't work very well.
- I don't like that can't search for QBNers any more!uncle_helv
- you don't need to. all their posts are available from their profile.skt
- you need to find the profile thoughDancer
- Yeah but how do I find their profile without searching for them first??uncle_helv
- Sorry Dancer I didn't read your note, just answered to skt!uncle_helv
- if you know their username it's www.qbn.com/username…...neverblink

you can use qoutes around your query to search for phrases.. so the correct search/filter would be "www.bp.com".. but remember QBN only indexes the thread-titles, not the entire threads..
- Just the titles? That will be the problem then – no one titles anything properly.Raniator

it's impossible to filter find for example the recent work thread or the comic books one. even when i copy-paste the original thread title into the filter it doesn't show up in the list.
- neverblink0
it is.. just change "most recent" (order by start date of thread, descending) into "most active" (order by number of replies, descending)

You should try changing your search parameters. searching for 'recent work' throws up a lot of results but refining it to 'public voice + most active + last year + "recent work"' brings up the show some recent work thread in the first result. Awkward but it mainly works, if you know what you're looking for.

Don't slag the QOOB
This thread WILL be deleted... everything else does....*Gives dictatorship the bird

- QBN only indexes thread-titles, not the entire thread.. so if you're looking for something, you'd better know which thread it was in.
- Use the search parameters. The thread you're looking for might not be the only one with that word in the title. Change the timeframe (24hrs / week / month / year / ever) or order (most recent / most active / most popular) to get the best results.
- When looking for thread started by a certain user. Go to his/her profile. It's always located at http://www.qbn.com/username (except for 404's, but that's what you get with such a name)
Now all of you whiners, learn some mysql and see if you can come up with a better solution..

im sure it indexes thread body too, but not the comments
