Hey guys,
The old ball and chain and I just came to Portland to check it out. Any suggestions on what to do/events/shows? We're both pretty open minded.

1.) Doug Fir, see who's playing. It's a tight venue.
2.) SE Portland and Burnside records stores. Scored some nice 45's and some rare posters when I was there.

Pt. 2 - If you wanna booze it with nice outdoor patios, try the Lucky Labrador or Farm, both have a nice selection of local brews.

thanks for the ideas. you guys got any other suggestions? are there any agencies I should check out? we might go to the zoo later but I'm hoping theres stuff to do beyond the "old couple" stuff.

The zoo is nice, i go there often with my son. While you're up there, go to the rose gardens and/or the Japanese garden. Where are you planning on eating? I have some suggestions if you're open to it.

Hit Powels for sure, walk around the Pearl, maybe stop in on PNCA, if you are here for the coming Thursday check out the Pearl again for First Thursday events, stop at VooDoo Donuts etc etc

Nike Town is pretty cool. OMSI would be cool, if you had kids. Not sure if it's worth it with 2 adults.
If you're staying through the weekend, and it's not raining, hit up waterfront on saturday. There are some really cool street vendors.

Rose parade this weekend I believe. Worth a look.
