I don't know about BBC, but I was flicking around the box (oo-er) the other week whilst cooking, and I happened upon some fairly full-on soft porn in the guise of educational material, on the Virgin channel. I couldn't believe it - there was some dude yakking away whilst a couple engaged in fairly indiscriminate oral sex beside him.
It was really odd - I'm not used to seeing that sort of thing on a British terrestrial channel, especially at 11 at night, or whenever it was (certainly, not really that late). I'm no prude (well, I am, but not in this regard, having been ..er.. brought up on Tele Cinco and Canal+ in Spain, which had some pretty full on porn when I was a youngling), but I was half-minded to write and complain. I don't agree with Virgin putting out soft porn tat just to raise their viewing figures a little.

Hahaha detritus, yeah there was a programme I 'happened upon' on the digital channels called Porn Week... pretty much self explanatory I know, but it was like this bizarre behind the scenes show (I never really watched... well once out of sheer amazement, that such a bizarre programme could be made)
...Anyway when I was in my home town, I saw this guy across the bar, and I swear I knew him, anyway I was about another sip away from getting up and saying that I recognised him when it twigged I'd seen the mucky little fucker on this program, but I kind of thought who'd be more embarrassed me for admitting to watch a criminal excuse for a quick wank tv show, or him for being in one!! luckily I will never find out!
