Don't screw a lawyer's Christmas vacation...
- ukit0
I should have sued them for ten times that amount after all the shit I've been through over the years

Sounds about right to me.
A Delta employee "literally walked away chuckling that he had left them stranded," he said.
- its worth $1mill for the smart ass chuckling alone!antoine_101

Something like this happened to me a few years ago, and I was on my way to buenos aires (what a coincidence) and I ended up stranded for 2 days in Panama.
Unfortunately I don't know the law and I was more than happy when they placed me on a 5 start hotel w/ a big jacuzzi during my stay in Panama, although most of the time I was chasing people from the airline around the airport.

any schmuck with a few hund. can file a lawsuit.
WINNING it, is another story.
- doesnotexist0
the lawyer in question wouldn't have taken the case if he didn't think he could win it. I say go traveler dude!
- johndiggity0
the traveler is the lawyer. fuck lawyers and fuck this guy.
- voiceof0
"fuck this guy."
How can you say that? If I missed flights due to the airlines incompetence, wasted my money, my time, missed out on vacation and lost money on hotel fares etc.. and to top it off the airline never once tried to make it right, even after I called. I would definitely sue, to get the money I lost back, the cost of me having to sue them, plus some "fuck you" money.

- It's the 'fuck you' money that makes reasonable people want to 'fuck him'.detritus
- I can understand that, but losing money is what makes a business listen, My feelings would be completely different if this was an individualvoiceof
- indeed, if it was any less it would be a slap on the wrist. now who really learns from that?doesnotexist

I personally hate american airlines, They left me on an airplane for 6 hours because their server with passengers information was down, (they lied and said it was the weather) During those 6 hours of complaining elderly people looking for meds and crying hungry kids, The plane crew refuse to give anyone sodas or anything to eat, their excuse was ...and quote "The carts are locked already" WTF!
I have never use American Airlines again, that was 4 years ago.
I hope wins and maybe airlines will learn to be a little nicer to people

malfeasance is a good word. people should use it more often.

i love it how they blame increasing oil prices for fuel surcharge increases.... yet most of them seem to be reporting record profits.... (well BA and Qantas anyway).
