I have 2 scripts in an HTML doc and one is making the other not work.
Is there any way of doing a bug test between scripts to see what the issue is?
I have no knowledge of JS at all so...?

do you have the Web Developer Toolbar installed (Firefox)? Activate it and run the page.. on the right in your WebDevToolbar you will see 3 buttons, the one most to the right has probably turned from green to red to alert you of a javascript error, double click it to get the error report.

thanks will give it a go

hmmm it says "no javascript errors"

hmm.. what are the javascripts trying to do?
Sometimes a javascript (like Lightbox) will fail when another script is being called. That won't give an error.

- jscript effect on html links = SUCKjevad
- Thanks for your worthy input jevad.Dancer
- out of interest. Why do you think they suck? Visually or as a bit of code?Dancer
- Just visually and usability-wise alistair - unneccesary pieces of script...jevad
- But useability it does not affect the site at all. My links are all accessible and degrade wellDancer

Can you post a link to the page you're having trouble with, so we can see the code? Seems like theres a few issues with both scripts in regard to doc types and ids. Might be easier to post how you're implementing them?

Hold on, will email the page to you both.
Sorry would prefer for the site not to be in public domain right now

The Firebug extension will be a lot more helpful.

hey dudes. Was up to me eyes there for a bit so couldn't really look at it, YAYPaul was it the "if (opera || ie || dom) init();" part of the image fader? It seemed to be conflicting with the fader js, and commenting it out made that part work. What was the fix in the end?
