Just got back to work and found m ymac() firefox character setting all messed up,
can someone go into the option/content/character&colors
and tell me what setup they have

What do you mean messed up? Sometimes (ie. after system crash) my FF gets weird font spacing, like it started substituting Helvetica and Arial with some other sans-serif. Usually killing it restores "normal" settings.

Helvetica Fractions fucked me over pretty good. However, this was more of a Mail issue and not FF, but hey, check just in case.
