Aluminium Imac Monitors

I just bought a new 20" imac.
The size and the gloss are completely fine, but the monitor quality isn't really 'wow' like the older white imacs were.
It has a very slight gradient from top to bottom in brightness which is only apparent when you have a solid colour bg, iv'e read that this is an issue with the monitor being of less quality than the 24"
My question is this..
I still have the right to return my imac so does anyone know if the 24" monitor is that much better?
Is it worth me sending my 20" back and paying the extra for the 24" ?
As I say in terms of size its perfectly fine so I'm not interested in paying extra money for that. But am I going to notice the quality improve?
Appreciate any input, and I await the hedge references and random animated gifs :D

24"? why not? 20" is so '99 anyway.

think the 24" will last longer.

Google about the 20 inch iMac LCD panel, they try to achieve millions of colors with dithering. The 24 inch model is not affected.
