Logo Suggestions/Crit

Synopsis. I am doing a logo for a crazy lady who wants something for nothing. (I wont get paid much) Therefore I am not going to spend alot of time on this project. But i would like suggestions about what you think. The only requirement was to have a logo icon that can stand alone from the text if need be.

I am not worried about type or kerning at the moment, just the symbols

I like where #2 is going (though don't like the imbalance between the two sides) - what do the flamey wing things represent, if anything?
#1 looks like some kind of Americana diner thing, #3's.. well, I don't like it and #4's a bit dull and uncontrasted. So yeah, she'll probably fo for #4.

Regardless if you are getting paid a little bit or alot, you have a unique opportunity to design a great logo that will help you build your reputation and your portfolio!
BTW
I would combine the typography of #2 with the graphical symbol of #3, that will looks sweet, nice logos, good luck epete22.

nr 3 is horrible
maybe nr 1, its long though, fit in in two lines?

I actually like your work so far. 3 is busy, but I like it. It would most likely work better without the text.
I have to agree with detritus about the diner aspect of #1, but that's one of the ones I would further work on.

#2 because of the "uplifting kids" bit, it seems to go along with that pretty well.

#2. Try it with just the clef with out the wings. that'd be pretty classy.

2 is the more 'refined' looking of the bunch but needs more work - simplify.

#2 is strongest, and probably pretty close... though on second look it's kinda "Dallas Uptown Motorcycle-gang"

#2 for sure - needs work though to make the symbol a stand alone graphic. i like the type, if only in early stages.
