starting May 31st.
gonna be in Paris and Rouen, FR, then Dubrovnik, Croatia and a day in Bosnia. My buddy is getting married in Croatia... hence the trip
Anything I should definitely try to check out?
I haven't started planning or packing yet. What will I need? Haven't been over to Europe since 2002. When the dollar was doing a lot better......

Croatia is beautiful and RIDICULOUSLY cheap! I had a layover in Dubrovnik last year. A swanky multiple course dinner for me and my lady at an upscale place was like €40. LOL! I can't even think of a cheaper place in Europe beside Bulgaria, but who the hell wants to go there.
- i can have a nice swanky diner for two here in NYC for that much money.pr2

nice one, you'll have a blast.. both are relatively expensive but well worth it...
that's all I got...

Croatia is not ridiculously cheap!!!!
the prices exploded this year, of course it always depends where you are going... if you go camping or in a 1 star hotel... yes sure its cheap. Dubrovnik is after Cannes, Monaco , St. Tropez & Sardinia the most expensive place for summer holidays.
sure you can get your fcking cevapcici for cheap money in a shitty restaurant where they put the rests from the meat in.
so it depends o the places, there are clubs & restaurants where you don´t get a vodka under 50 € or a bottle of champaign under 2.000€ ...
and I am croatian ... and live in germany, so I would say that I know what expensive is.
3 years ago a Vodla Red Bull at a GOOD Bar costs 3 €, now 16€ ..
no cheaper places besides Bulgaria? I am laughing

what's the best idea as far as the money situation goes (ie. where do i go for the best exchange rate? i'm flying in to Roissy-Charles De Gaulle in Paris. should i withdraw / exchange at the airport? Do I just bring a shit ton of cash on the plane???
any thoughts would be much appreciated. i think wells fargo rapes people for withdrawals overseas....

bump for money pointers / best places to exchange
- dibec0
ATM/Bank. You tend to get the best exhange rate.
- dibec0
exhange = exchange.
O! Also Credit Card. I know it sucks to say that, but you get some protection with the bigger cards.
- dibec0
How are you?

check to see if your bank / CC company will sock you with a foreign exchange penalty before you go.
- pretty sure it will... but what do i do about it??********
